Peter Melanson

Peter Melanson is Senior Vice-President, Sales. Mr. Melanson joined Canada Post in February 1996 as Vice-President, Electronic Services and returned to the Corporation in 2003 in that same role after completing exceptional work as the first President and CEO of epost™. Most recently he was Senior Vice-President, Transaction Mail, responsible for the largest revenue stream in Canada Post's Lines of Business.

Prior to joining Canada Post, Mr. Melanson was Vice-President, Postal Services, SHL Systemhouse Inc. He brings with him an extensive marketing and technical skills background. He also worked for Digital Equipment Corporation from 1984 to 1994 where his last position was as global postal marketing manager.

Mr. Melanson serves on the Board of Directors of SCI Group Inc. He also serves with several community and volunteer organizations and is currently the National President of the Duke of Edinburgh Award for Young Canadians.
