How can you help
How you can support the Canada Post Foundation for Mental Health
In September 2009, grants totalling more than $1 million were awarded by the Canada Post Foundation for Mental Health to associations and programs providing front-line support for those directly affected by mental illness.
Every little bit helps—a large part of the 2008 fundraising effort involved donations by Canadians of one dollar at post offices, as well as $1 donations through the purchase of Mental Health fundraising stamp booklets. Your donations provide direct, community-based support for those affected by mental illness or for those supporting them in a non-professional capacity (e.g. family, friends). Here’s how you can help…
- Buy a booklet of the PERMANENTTM Mental Health stamps to use on your mail or for stamp collecting. One dollar from each purchase will go directly to the Canada Post Foundation for Mental Health.
- Donate Online: To make a secure and easy donation online, visit the Canada Post Foundation for Mental Health page at CanadaHelps.org
- Donate by Mail: Please make your cheque payable to the CANADA POST FOUNDATION FOR MENTAL HEALTH and mail it to,

"Hundreds of thousands of Canadians participated in raising the $1 million last year, contributing one and two dollars, as well as larger donations. The magnitude of the response shows just how strongly people feel about the cause of mental health."
- Moya Greene, president and CEO, Canada Post
