Buildings

A large portion of the Corporation's CO2 emissions comes from its buildings. Reducing those emissions will not only benefit the environment and help reduce overall energy costs, but will also create a healthier work environment for employees. Since 2002, we have reduced emissions from Canada Post-owned buildings by eight percent.

Starting in 2008, our design process for all new buildings will use the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) framework of the Canada green-building rating system.
