Canada Post confirms mail continues to be delivered
Nov. 25, 2008
Although there have been some transportation delays, Canada Post is taking any and all necessary action to meet its commitment to Canadians that mail will be delivered throughout this disruption. Legal measures - including picket line protocols and, where necessary, court-ordered injunctions - have been essential and effective. Delays experienced last week in some centres have been largely resolved, and where necessary Canada Post has extended hours to deal with any backlog that resulted in delays.
Mary Traversy, senior vice-president of operations, is available for interview to discuss the alternate measures that Canada Post has put in place to deal with strike-related challenges as they arise.
