Feb. 2, 2009
CALGARY - Direct Energy, one of North America’s largest energy and energy-related services companies, is now offering its Alberta customers electronic invoices from epostTM, Canada’s largest bill presentment and payment network. Customers can sign up to receive their bills through the free epost service at either canadapost.ca/epost or the online banking sites of major Canadian financial institutions.
This simple, environmentally friendly, online document delivery service is available to Direct Energy’s Alberta-based customers. Alberta residents who want to receive their Direct Energy bill online simply register at canadapost.ca/epost and select Direct Energy as a mailer. Customers can also select from an additional 100 mailers to receive some 250 different documents (e.g. monthly credit card statements, utility bills, telephone bills, or notices) through their free epost mailbox.
“As a major producer and supplier of energy, Direct Energy is focused on adopting technologies that provide added convenience for our customers and help them reduce their environmental impact,” says Tanis Kozak, vice-president and general manager, Direct Energy. “Like our many customers who have asked for paperless billing, we believe in taking action that reduces our carbon footprint wherever possible.”
"Direct Energy is a great addition to the epost family of mailers,” says Cheryl Persad, senior vice-president, Transaction Mail, at Canada Post. “As a company, Canada Post is focused on providing businesses with quality services and innovative solutions that provide them—and in turn their customers—with added value. For Direct Energy, epost is a convenience their customers will appreciate and a business solution that makes sense.”
A secure, online document delivery service, epost enables leading Canadian companies to deliver critical documents, such as bills to their customers and pay statements to employees, online. For consumers, epost is a secure and convenient online approach to receiving, viewing and storing (for up to seven years) financial statements.
