When is the application deadline?
All applications must be submitted by Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET
Is there a cost to enter (entry fee)?
No.
My company does not ship with Canada Post. May I enter?
Yes. Please note that the parcel shipping and direct marketing prizes will be in the form of a sales credit note and the winner must become a Canada Post customer to receive the prize.
How are applications judged?
After an initial review by an internal Canada Post panel to ensure an application meets the requirements, qualified entries will be judged by an expert panel chosen for their standing and reputation in the e-commerce field. The judges will review applications against the criteria outlined in each category.
When will I be notified about the status of my application or if my company is an award finalist?
You will be notified by email that your entry has been received and is complete, but only the five finalists in each category will be contacted a second time, on or about August 26, 2013. You won’t know if you’re the top prize winner until the announcement at the Awards Gala on September 25, 2013.

How can my company become an event sponsor?
We are approaching companies and organizations to support these awards, and would be happy to hear from you. Please email ecommerceawards@canadapost.ca.
How many entries may I submit?
Two – companies may submit for either the Best Multi-channel Retailer or Best E-tailer category and the Most Innovative category.
In what language can I submit my application?
You may submit your application in English or in French.
If I realize I made a mistake on submission, or have additional information, can I re-submit?
No. In making the submission process as simple as possible, yet appropriate for the judges, we’re counting on entrants to submit an accurate, thorough and compelling submission. Please review it carefully before you submit it.
Can a company win more than one award?
Yes. Entrants can win up to two awards.
If my company is a finalist who should attend the Awards gala?
If your company is chosen as a finalist, you will receive two complimentary tickets to the Awards gala. To purchase additional tickets, please email ecommerceawards@canadapost.ca.
Will the information I submit about my company remain confidential?
Canada Post will use non-confidential information when announcing, promoting, and awarding a prize to finalists and/or winners. If Canada Post decides that confidential information would be relevant and/or necessary for the announcement, promotion and awarding of prizes to finalists and/or winners, Canada Post will seek express consent from an authorized representative of the entrant to use the Confidential Information from the entrants for the limited purpose of these Awards and such consent will not be unreasonably withheld.

Will Canada Post do any marketing of a company’s brand without permission?
As part of your submission, you will be providing Canada Post the right to use your logo and company name and location when we announce the award finalists (should your company be a finalist). This announcement will include the use of your company name, location and logo on our website, in a news release and as part of our promotional efforts for the finalist announcement.
As well, you will be asked to provide a contact name to Canada Post so that Canada Post can request your company’s approval of advertising and promotional materials referencing or using your company name or any marks or any other intellectual property of your company, outside of the finalist announcement. If you do not respond to the request within five business days, you will be deemed to have accepted the request and Canada Post will proceed to use the advertising and/or promotional materials referenced in the request during the term. Please make sure your contact person is current, available and able to make decisions on behalf of your company.
Should you win an award you will be asked to provide a testimonial following the delivery of your prizes (see Terms and Conditions for additional details).
How do I win the early-bird draw?
A random draw will be held from all the entries received before 11:59:59 p.m. (ET) May 31, 2013. One entrant will win a table (for 8) at the Awards Gala (non-transferable, must be claimed (attendees’ names provided) by September 1, 2013).
I have applied for an Award, when will I know if I have won?
These are the milestone dates you should be aware of:
- Award application deadline: July 2, 2013
- Finalists will be announced the week of August 26, 2013
- Consumer Champion voting begins week of August 26 – September 20, 2013
- Winners announced at the Canada Post E-commerce Innovation Awards Gala, in Toronto, on September 25, 2013.
