Retailers entering this category offer a complete and easy-to-use m-commerce process that is seamless, intuitive and customer-friendly, and that provides customers with the information and control they need and want. Judges will look for retailers making the best use of mobile technologies to keep customers engaged throughout the shopping process.

Most Creative Marketing Campaign

Most Creative Marketing Campaign

This award recognizes the retailer (large and small) that launched the most creative, stand-out e-commerce marketing campaign in 2013. Judges will be looking for a truly out-of-the-ordinary campaign that drove customer traffic and ultimately online sales. Digital, physical, or integrated campaigns are eligible. Preference will be given to retailers that can demonstrate successful results.

Best E-commerce Shopping Experience

Best E-commerce Shopping Experience

E-commerce begins as soon as shoppers access the online store and doesn’t end until they receive their orders ‒ and return them, if necessary. This award recognizes the retailer of any size that offers the best end-to-end experience. Judges will look for retailers that are also enriching the e-commerce channel by providing customers with an enjoyable, entertaining and/or convenient shopping experience.

Best Customer/Community Outreach

Best Customer/Community Outreach

This category is for retailers that are developing strong relationships with customers by engaging them in community participation through an online community, physical community or both. Activities that support business objectives without directly resulting in the sale of goods or services will be considered. Judges will look for retailers that have cultivated a loyal community of customers who participate in the brand experience and have become brand advocates beyond the sales channels. This award is open to retailers using mobile, online, offline or integrated channels to connect with their online shopping community.

Most Innovative Start-Up

Whether it’s a new e-business model, a new way of integrating channels, or a new way to define innovation, the winner of this award is exciting the industry and creating customer buzz with an altogether fresh approach to e-commerce. For this award, start-ups are defined as pureplay or multi-channel retailers that launched January 1, 2013, or after.

Best Omni-Channel Integration

Best Omni-Channel Integration

This award recognizes the best omni-channel retailer that is effectively integrating mobile, in-store and online channels for the purpose of improving the customer experience. Judges will be looking for evidence of programs or projects that reflect integration, for example a seamless end-to-end shopping experience across all channels, a customer relationship initiative that is interwoven through all channels, or an operational program that optimizes the fulfillment and delivery of orders leveraging all channels.

Canada Post Award

At the Gala, Canada Post will present a special award to the e-commerce retailer of its choice. The award will be given to a retailer that has made a significant contribution to advancing the e-commerce market in Canada.

Consumer Champion Award

Consumer Champion Award

All the finalists will automatically be entered into the Consumer Champion Award. Canadians will be invited to vote for their favourite retailer in an online poll. More details on the Consumer Champion Award will be provided after the finalists have been chosen.
