What is Hold Mail?
Hold Mail is a service provided by Canada Post that allows you to temporarily hold the delivery of mail to your business address. Upon request, we will hold your mail until a specified date or as provided in the terms and conditions for Hold Mail.
You can request Hold Mail service at your Post Office or online
Features
The minimum service period for Hold Mail is 5 business days for businesses. You can, however, request a shorter period of time. You can also renew the service, providing you request renewal before the expiry date of the service. The renewal price will be the current price at the time you apply.
The service is non-refundable if cancelled after it has begun.
Restrictions
Hold Mail requests cannot be accepted from customers who receive mail through a shared postal address (e.g. if several businesses have a common postal address or privately administered mailboxes).
Parcels (e.g. Priority™ Next A.M., Xpresspost™, Expedited Parcel™ and Regular Parcel™) may be delivered or carded during the hold period. Should you expect any parcel deliveries, please advise your senders to delay shipping until your return.
