I filed a Change of Address. Why haven’t I received any redirected mail yet?

Answer

Our Change of Address service redirects mail from your old address to your new address, so it can take a little longer for mail to reach your new address. Please wait 5 business days from the start date of your service to expect any redirected mail.

If you have not received any mail at all at your new address:

  • Make sure you are aware of how you receive mail, for example, at a Community Mail Box, at your door, etc.
  • If there are any impediments such as construction, snow or ice on your walkway, your service will resume once the impediment is removed.

What you can do

  • If your mail is delivered in a Community Mail Box at the new address, request keys now.

Are you a business with a Canada Post customer number?

  • If you originally requested the service online, verify that the status of your service is active.
  • If you have a copy of your receipt, report an issue online now.
