Question

What can I do if my Community Mail Box key or lock is not working?

  • You cannot insert your key into the lock.
  • You can insert your key in the lock but it will not open the compartment.

Answer

If one of the keys to your Community Mail Box is not working, try the 2nd key to see if works.

To protect the privacy and security of your mail, we do not keep copies of the keys to your Community Mail Box. If you still can’t open your compartment, we will replace the lock and then advise you of where you can pick up your keys.

What you can do

  • Check that you receive mail at a Community Mail Box (not at an apartment or building mailroom). Not sure what a Community Mail Box looks like? View image.
  • If one key works, have a duplicate made so that you’ll have a spare.
  • Save time! Request a lock replacement online and get new keys.
