Question

I lost the keys to my Community Mail Box. How do I get new ones?

  • You have lost the keys to your Community Mail Box.
  • You have at least one of the keys, but want to make copies.

Answer

If you have at least one of your keys, have it copied at any hardware store or locksmith.

If you have lost or misplaced both of your keys, contact us to request new ones. Once we have changed the lock, we will leave a Delivery Notice Card on your front door indicating the location of the Post Office where you can pick up your keys. You'll need to bring the Delivery Notice Card and government issued photo identification.

The cost to replace lost, stolen or misplaced Community Mail Box keys is $29 plus taxes.

Just moved and never received your mailbox keys?

What you can do

  • Check that you receive mail at a Community Mail Box (not at an apartment or building mailroom). Not sure what a Community Mail Box looks like? View image.
