Question

I made a mistake in the address of a letter or parcel I sent. What can I do?

  • You mailed a letter or parcel but have since learned that the address contained an error.
  • Someone has mailed an item to you and has sent it to the wrong address.

Answer

If the address on the letter or parcel exists, it will be delivered to that address. If the address does not exist, the item will be returned to sender.

Have you tried...

  • If you do not know if the address exists, try looking it up in Find a Postal Code.
  • If the item has a tracking number, find out when it was delivered or returned. Use Track.
