Canada Post has released its 2016 third quarter results – these 5 facts will tell you what you need to know
We have just released our financial results for the third quarter of 2016. The Canada Post segment lost $60 million before tax in the third quarter, when the risk of a work disruption prompted commercial customers to make other arrangements to deliver their parcels and mail. The net negative financial impact of the labour uncertainty is estimated at $100 million for the third quarter. However, for the first three quarters of 2016, our Parcels volumes and revenue both increased, which reflects the continuing strength of our e-commerce strategy.
