Senders should determine import restrictions from the country's authorities before posting any goods not bearing sufficient marks of origin, plus:
- cloth and clothing containing metallic thread
- cloth, cotton
- drugs and medicines
- fats (margarine)
- plants and parts of plants
- tobacco products
- viruses and serums
- weapons, commercial
- weapons, hunting.
Tunisia requires an import permit for some goods. Before posting any item, senders should confirm that the addressee has any necessary permit.
In addition to items considered non-mailable matter, the following are prohibited:
- any item offensive to the Muslim culture
- baby comforters
- baby feeders with tubes
- cartons and packaging
- footwear, rubber or plastic
- glass receptacles
- hides and items made of
- household items, made of metal
- lotteries tickets and advertising
- military Equipment
- mineral waters
- playing Cards
- radar Equipment
- skins and items made of

- woodwork items.

Commercial goods mailed to Tunisia require an inserted certified invoice. Some goods require a Certificate of Origin.
