CUPW begins strikes in several B.C. locations, continues in Ottawa and other Ontario and Quebec communities

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has started strikes Friday in Royal City, Maple Ridge, Surrey and the Fraser Valley, B.C.

Strikes had also started earlier in the day in Ottawa (except Woodlawn), North Bay, Englehart, New Liskeard, Kirkland Lake, Timmins, Welland, Maple, Stouffville, St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Fort Erie and at the concept store in Richmond Hill, Ontario, as well as in the Sherbrooke area and in Sainte-Thérèse-de-Blainville, Quebec.

Meanwhile, strikes have ended in Campbell River, Courtenay, Nanaimo, Port Alberni, Williams Lake, Columbia River, Quesnel, Salmon Arm, Revelstoke, Dawson Creek and Cranbrook, B.C., and in Sioux Lookout, Atikokan, Geraldton, Dryden, Elliot Lake, Blind River and Pickering, Ont.
