CUPW begins strikes in Ottawa and several Ontario and Quebec locations

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has started strikes early Friday morning in Ottawa (except Woodlawn), Timmins, Welland, Maple, Stouffville, St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Fort Erie, and at the Richmond Hill concept store in Scarborough, Ontario, as well as in Sherbrooke and Sainte-Thérèse-de-Blainville, Quebec.
Strikes continue in Campbell River, Courtenay, Nanaimo, Port Alberni, Williams Lake, Columbia River, Quesnel, Salmon Arm, Revelstoke, Dawson Creek and Cranbrook, B.C., and in Sioux Lookout, Atikokan, Geraldton and Dryden, Ont.
Meanwhile, strikes have ended in Kamloops, B.C., Calgary, Alta., Elliot Lake, Blind River, Pickering and Ajax, Ont.
