CUPW strikes return to Kelowna, continue in Edmonton, Victoria and across Manitoba

While negotiations continue, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) began strikes on Friday in Kelowna, as well as in the main cities of Manitoba: Winnipeg (except the processing plant), Brandon, Portage la Prairie, The Pas, Dauphin, Flin Flon and Thompson. While negotiations continue, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) began strikes on Friday in the main cities of Manitoba: Winnipeg (except the processing plant), Brandon, Portage la Prairie, The Pas, Dauphin, Flin Flon and Thompson. Strikes also started Friday in Edmonton, Alta. and in Port Hope, Orangeville and Markham, Ont. Strikes also continue in Victoria, B.C., Moncton and Saint John, N.B., and in one letter carrier depot in downtown Toronto.   Continue reading

While negotiations continue, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) began strikes on Thursday in Victoria, BC and Moncton, NB. Strikes continue in Winnipeg, MB, Saint John, NB, a small number of letter carrier depots in Toronto, Scarborough, and Mississauga and in Amherstburg, Strathroy, Sarnia and Milton, Ontario.   Continue reading

While negotiations continue, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) began strikes Thursday morning at the Winnipeg Mail Processing Plant and in Amherstburg, Strathroy, Sarnia and Milton, Ontario. Last night, strikes had also started in the greater Montreal region, Quebec and Saint John, New Brunswick. Strikes continue in St. John’s, Newfoundland.   Continue reading
