Changes to epost

Why has epost changed?

People asked us to make epost easier to use on all devices, from desktop computers to mobile phones. The transition of epost to canadapost.ca/inbox, introduces a more convenient, mobile-friendly epost.

Can I continue to use the old epost site?

Yes, epost.ca will still be available. We plan to close it in September, 2017. After that, only the new version of epost will be accessible (at canadapost.ca/inbox).

What do I need to do to keep using epost?

Simply go to canadapost.ca/inbox and sign in with your existing epost credentials. All your current epost documents like bills, pay stubs and financial statements, along with the mailers you subscribed to, will be there. There’s a tour option to get you familiar with the new epost site.

What happens to all the information I have in my existing epost account?

All information from your existing epost account, except for your credit card(s), pre-authorized debit and digital postal addresses, has been carried over to canadapost.ca/inbox.

How do I make changes to my epost™ account at canadapost.ca?

To make changes to your epost™ account information:

  1. Click on your username at the top right of your screen
  2. Open "My Profile"
  3. Select "update my epost™ profile"

How do I log out my epost account on canadapost.ca?

To log out:

  1. Click on your username at the top right of your screen
  2. Select sign out.

Will I still be able to use credit cards to pay for my bills in the new epost?

Yes, some mailers accept credit card payment through epost. You will need to setup your credit card(s) in the new epost. First log into your epost account at canadapost.ca/inbox and follow these steps:

  1. Select "Add new +"
  2. Select "Payment method"
  3. Select "Credit Card" from the available options
  4. Follow the steps to set up your credit card.

Will I still be able to perform pre-authorized debit payments towards bills in the new epost?

No, pre-authorized debit payments will no longer be available through epost.

What happens to my saved credit card(s), pre-authorized debit information on the old epost after it is discontinued?

All credit cards and pre-authorized debit information in the old epost database will be erased.

What will happen to my digital postal address after the old epost is discontinued?

We no longer require you to have a digital postal address to benefit from the full epost experience. Digital postal addresses are being discontinued with no impact to you.

Will I still have a record of historical payment activities from the old epost after it’s shut down?

Yes, you will still be able to view your historical payments through the new epost. To view:

  1. Log into canadapost.ca/inbox
  2. Select manage payments
  3. Select the payment activity tab
If I access epost through my bank, can I continue to do so?

Yes, you can continue to access epost from your bank.
