A parcel I received from another country arrived damaged. What can I do?
Although we are committed to handling your mail with care, occasionally mail can become damaged during processing.
If you received a damaged parcel, please contact the sender, who may be able to file a claim with the Post Office in the originating country.

What you can do
- Contact the sender to report the damage and get details about the claims process in the originating country.
- Keep all wrapping, packaging materials, invoices and the damaged item, as they may be needed to process the claim and provide proof of damage.
- If the item was sent from the U.S., get more information from the United States Postal Service.
- Look up the postal website of the originating country.
