Your Contact Information
It is your responsibility to ensure that your Profile and all other information you provide to us is and remains accurate and complete. You must not provide misleading information or pretend to be someone else.
For certain activities you conduct on the Site we may share your personal information with Third Party identification services. Those Third Party services will use the information to help us verify your identity. This will help to protect you and Canada Post against fraud and to protect your personal information from misuse.
With your consent Canada Post will send you certain electronic communications such as emails, texts and/or app notifications regarding your use of Canada Post's Products. These may include commercial electronic messages such as special offers and promotions. Your service provider may charge you fees to receive these communications --- check with your service provider.
You may opt out of receiving commercial electronic messages either by (1) unsubscribing within the commercial electronic message and following the prompts to manage your communications from Canada Post, or (2) signing in to your Account and accessing your information, and then following the instructions on that page for opting out. Your request to unsubscribe will take effect within 10 business days.
Notifications to You
To communicate with you, including to provide any written notices to you, we may (1) send you emails or texts, (2) deliver messages to your Inbox or phone, (3) post notices on the Site, (4) send push notifications or (5) use any combination of those methods.
Content and Intellectual Property
Canada Post either owns or is the licensee of all intellectual property rights in the Content.
We may make available some Content for downloading from the Site. You may use that Content but only for the purposes and in the manner we specify. Our permission to use the Content we make available is also conditional on the following:
(1) You must not (a) pass off the Content as your own or any party's other than Canada Post, (b) make any changes to the Content, or (c) make any representations or warranties to any other party relating to any the Content, and
Your Use of the Site
In using the Site, you must comply with the laws of Canada and any applicable Canadian provincial laws. You must not do or threaten to do anything that may or does (1) constitute any illegal or improper activity, (2) harass any other party (3) disrupt, undermine, corrupt or damage the Site or anything accessible through the Site; or (4) damage Canada Post’s goodwill or reputation.
Without limiting what is set out above, you must not:
- Use any "page-scrape" or other unauthorized device, program or process, to:
(1) access, copy or monitor any portion of the Site , or
(2) reproduce or circumvent the navigational structure or presentation of the Site,
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site by hacking, password "mining" or any other illegitimate means,
- Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Site,
- Breach or bypass the security or authentication measures on the Site,
- Upload anything onto the Site without our express permission, and/or
- Take any action that imposes an unreasonable load on the infrastructure of the Site.
Any conditions or restrictions on your use of the Site also apply to any system, network, server or other equipment connected to the Site.
Accounts, Passwords, Security
To use some portions of the Site you will be required to open an Account and create Authentication Information, for example a Username and Password.
You must keep your Authentication Information secret. You are responsible for all activities connected to your Account when conducted using your Authentication Information. If you forget any of your Authentication Information, we will try to help you recover it. But if we can’t authenticate you to our satisfaction you will not be able to access your Account.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your Account and/or Authentication Information, or any other security breach of which you become aware. We may suspend or cancel your Account but you will be responsible for all activity connected to your Account before that suspension or cancellation takes effect.
You must not use anyone else's Account or Authentication Information except as expressly permitted by applicable Canadian law, for example under a power of attorney for property or in your capacity of administrator for the account holder's estate.
We may at any time require you to change your Username and/or or other Authentication Information.
Internet transmissions are never completely private or secure. Despite any security measures that we may have in place, unauthorized parties might intercept any information transmitted within, to or from the Site, or improperly access any data pertaining to you that we store. You assume all risk that unauthorized interception or access might occur even if we have stated that a particular transmission (for example, credit card information) is secure and/or encrypted.
Termination or Suspension of the Site or Accounts
We may at any time without notice suspend or permanently terminate:
- your Account; and/or
- the operation of the Site and/or your access to the Site or any portion of the Site.
Without limiting our right to suspend or terminate your Account as set out above, we may permanently terminate your Account if we determine that you have not logged into the Account for more than two years.
Deletion of Account Data
Among other steps we may take when we terminate your Account, we may permanently delete all documents, information and other data contained in that Account.
Automatic Creation of epost Account
When you create an Account, we will also automatically assign you an epost™ account. You do not have to use your epost account, but any use of it will be subject to the Additional Terms and Conditions relating to epost found here.
We have taken considerable care to prepare and maintain the Site. HOWEVER, WE ARE PROVIDING THE SITE AND ANY PRODUCTS YOU PURCHASE THROUGH THE SITE STRICTLY ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. Your use of the Site and/or purchase of any Product is at your sole risk. Canada Post disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including implied warranties of accuracy, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
We may at any time without notice suspend or terminate operation of the Site and/or your access to the Site or any portion of the Site.
Exclusion of Liability
THIS EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY APPLIES:
(1) WHETHER THE ACTION IS IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE.
(2) EVEN IF CANADA POST IS EXPRESSLY ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF LOSS OR DAMAGES; AND
(3) NO MATTER WHAT CAUSED THE LOSS OR DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION CANADA POST’S NEGLIGENCE AND/OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE.
THIS EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY APPLIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
From time to time you may give us Feedback, either at our request or on your own initiative.
By submitting any Feedback, you agree that:
(1) The Feedback will automatically become Canada Post’s property,
(2) Canada Post has no obligation to you or any other party with respect to your Feedback, including any obligation to (a) to review the Feedback, (b) make any payments in connection with the Feedback, or (c) keep the Feedback confidential,
(3) Canada Post may freely use or redistribute your Feedback for any purpose and in any way, and
(4) Sections (1), (2) and (3) above will apply regardless of what you state when you submit your Feedback.
Third Party Content and Links to Third Party Sites
(1) any information provided by any Third Party on the Site or any Linked Site, including any product or service claim, warranty, representation, promotion or contest; or
(2) any Third Party action, non-action, products or services.
We may sometimes refer to Canada Post "partners" on the Site. We use the term “partner” simply to describe a Third Party that we do business with, and not to describe any kind of legal partnership or similar relationship.
A Linked Site will let you leave the Site and connect you with a Third Party websites. Canada Post does not control or operate the Linked Sites. We are not responsible for the content or security of any Linked Site.
Canada Post complies with the Official Languages Act and we are committed to ensuring all Content on this site is available in both French and English. However, some information from external sources may only be available in the language in which it was provided. In addition, some Linked Sites are not subject to the Official Languages Act.
Eligibility and Account Registration
You must have a valid physical postal address in Canada to use the epost Service. You declare that you (1) have lawful access to the physical postal address you enter in your contact details; and (2) are entitled to receive mail at that address.
In some circumstances an administrator may assign you an epost account, in which case additional terms and conditions may apply as stipulated by the administrator. Your administrator may also be able to access and/or disable your epost account.
You are responsible for keeping your Profile accurate and up to date. You must also contact your Mailers directly to update them with any changes to the information you have provided them.
If you cancel any Mailpiece subscriptions and/or discontinue use of your epost account, you must properly notify the applicable Mailers and provide the Mailer with the new address for your mail.
If you cancel your use of the epost Service we may delete all relevant Mailpieces from our servers, and we may inform your Mailers and/or financial institutions that your epost account and/or epost Connect account is no longer in service.
Subscribing to Receive Mailpieces
You must choose the Mailers from which you wish to receive epost Mailpieces. The epost Service will facilitate your request to a Mailer to subscribe or unsubscribe to the Mailer’s Mailpieces. You consent to us providing the Mailer with your personal information as required by us and/or the Mailer to facilitate your request.
If you or a Mailer requests that we do so, we may access your epost account to delete your subscription or make changes to the subscription information pertaining to that Mailer.
Any disputes between you and any Mailer, Bank or other Third Party in connection with your Mailpieces must be resolved solely between you and that party.
Each Mailer is solely responsible for the content of its Mailpiece(s) and any supplementary materials. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if we determine that a Mailpiece is unlawful, harassing, offensive or otherwise objectionable, we may decline to present that Mailpiece.
We may apply an Electronic Postmark to a Mailpiece to verify that the Mailpiece has not been tampered with. However we cannot verify the integrity of (1) a Mailpiece that is accessed in whole or part by a link to an external website (for example a Mailer website), or (2) any Mailpiece attachment.
We may scan Mailpieces and attachments for viruses and other potential threats and, if we detect any suspicious content we may delete it and/or bring it to your attention. We do not promise that any such scan or deletion attempts will be successful or that we will successfully notify you. You are solely responsible for protecting your computer, systems, data and other property by using your own virus detection software, firewalls and other security measures.
Please note that we do not scan attachments to any epost Connect Mailpiece.
Capacity Limits for Storage and Transmission
We may set storage, transmission, Mailpiece size, and attachment limits for each epost and epost Connect account, and we may change those limits at any time without notice.
Presentment at Participating Financial Institutions
You may access your epost account from your Bank’s online banking website, if your Bank has entered into an agreement with us to allow this.
By accessing your epost account from your Bank’s website, you consent to us transmitting certain contents of your Inbox and other information to your Bank as reasonably required to provide the service.
Depending on what Bank you use, (1) some features of the epost Service may not be available on your Bank’s website, and (2) actions you perform while accessing your epost account through your Bank’s website may not be visible or accessible when you access your epost account directly through the Site, and vice versa. For example, if you subscribe to a Mailpiece while on your Bank’s website, that Mailpiece might not be visible when you access your epost account directly through the Site.
When you access your epost account from your Bank’s website, depending on your Bank you may be able to make payments directly from your Bank account or otherwise as allowed by your Bank.
When you access your epost account directly from the Site, you may apply to use one or more Bill Payment Methods. If we accept your application, you will be able to make payments through the epost Service for the bills you receive as Mailpieces in your Inbox. Your use of any of these Bill Payment Methods may be subject to Additional Terms and Conditions.
For any Bill Payment Method you choose, you may also be subject to terms and conditions required by your credit card or other bank card issuer and/or other service provider. Some Mailers may allow you to access the Mailer's website to pay for bills they send you as Mailpieces. Your use of a Mailer's website will be subject to terms and conditions required by the Mailer.
Authenticating to your Physical Address
With some restrictions, Canada Post allows you to create a Digital Postal Address corresponding to your physical postal address, and to link your Digital Postal Address to your epost account. All Users with epost accounts that have been linked to the same Digital Postal Address will be able to view Household Mail delivered to that Digital Postal Address.
By creating a Digital Postal Address, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to receive the mail delivered to that physical address and the Household Mail delivered to the Digital Postal Address.
You must notify us immediately if (1) your physical postal address changes; and/or (2) you no longer have authority to receive (a) mail delivered to that physical postal address and/or (b) Household Mail delivered to the Digital Postal Address. If your physical postal address changes you will need to create a new Digital Postal Address if you would like it to be linked to your epost account.
The steps required to create a Digital Postal Address, link it to your epost account and notify us of any changes are as set out on the epost Service website.
When you create a Digital Postal Address and/or link your epost account to a Digital Postal Address, you consent to us using Third Party authentication and verification service providers to verify that you have the required authority to do so.
We may de-link your Digital Postal Address from your epost account at any time without notice to you.
Digital Postal Address Disputes
If you know or suspect that someone is accessing your Digital Postal Address without the authority to do so, contact our customer service help desk and request a suspension of that Digital Postal Address.
Upon receiving a suspension request from you or another User asserting the rights to access that Digital Postal Address, we may temporarily suspend access to the Digital Postal Address pending resolution of the dispute.
The epost Connect feature of the epost service enables secure electronic communications between businesses and other parties. Canada Post may from time to time establish eligibility criteria to use the epost Connect service.
If the e-mail address(es) linked to your epost Connect account change, it is your responsibility to inform any epost Connect Mailers of any such changes.
Some Mailers in possession of an e-mail address(es) linked to your epost Connect account will be able to send Mailpieces to your epost Connect account without any subscription request by you. You will not need to provide your epost Username to those Mailers in order to receive Mailpieces from them. To stop receiving Mailpieces from a particular Mailer in your epost Connect account, you will need to contact the Mailer directly and asked to have your e-mail address removed from the Mailer's epost Connect mailing list.
Canada Post assumes no responsibility for any actions taken (or not taken) by you, the Mailer, or any other party with respect to any epost Connect Mailpiece.

We try to accurately describe items for sale through the Site, but our descriptions may not be 100% correct or complete. If you purchase an item on the Site and it does not match the item's description on the Site, your only remedy is to return the item (if the item is returnable) in accordance with the online returns policy set out on the Site.
CANADA POST SOLUTIONS FOR SMALL BUSINESS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Canada Post reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to review any Solutions for Small Business application or membership and to take such action as it deems appropriate, including the refusal, suspension or deletion of any account, if it believes there has been a violation of any of these terms and conditions or the Solutions for Small Business Terms and Conditions. Such violations include, but are not limited to, the creation of duplicate accounts for the same customer or user, or the use of multiple accounts for the purpose of applying promotional codes or offers to additional items. In a case where duplicate accounts are detected, Canada Post reserves the right to refuse, close or merge such duplicate accounts in its sole discretion at any time and without notification to you. Additional items will incur shipping costs at Canada Post’s standard rates or may be returned to the sender.
Purchases of any Products through the Solutions for Small Business Program will also be subject to:
(1) Any Commercial Contract to which you are a party;
(3) Any Additional Terms and Conditions applicable to a Product;
International Shipping Solutions
Up to 60% off the Canada Post “base rate” (the rate available to customers sending packages or parcels over the counter at a post office.
The discounted rate is determined by your “shipping profile” which includes, but is not limited to:
- the volume commitment
- the service(s) selected
- the service options selected
- the weight of items
- the origin and destination of the items
- the number and location of induction points (postal facility where the items are posted)
- the customer contract or agreement
A change in a customer’s shipping profile may result in a change in rates available to the customer

Business Information and Authority
Only businesses resident in Canada are eligible to participate in the Solutions for Small Business Program. To participate, you must apply for an account here. You represent and warrant that (a) you are a business or the authorized representative of a business; (b) all information that you provide to us is business information and not personal information, including any contact details.
Note that any information used to communicate with an individual in relation to their employment, business or profession (such as what would ordinarily be found on a business card) is considered business information, and not personal information.
We will retain the information that you provide to us and will use it in connection with (1) the Site, (2) the Solutions for Small Business program, and (3) to provide you with information about us and our Products.
How to purchase Products
You may purchase Canada Post shipping and/or mailing Products through the following means:
(1) by signing into your Account and paying by credit card accepted by Canada Post using one or more of the following online applications: (i) Electronic Shipping Tool (EST) Online, (ii) EST 2.0, (iii) Express Order Entry, (iv) Precision Targeter, (v) Snap Ship, or (vi) Snap Admail.
(2) at a Canada Post Retail Outlet, using whatever payment methods are accepted at that outlet, or
(3) for Canada Post Personalized Mail™ or Canada Post Neighbourhood Mail™ only, through Canada Post Smartmail Marketing Partners or Smartmail Marketing Expert Partners, using whatever payment methods are accepted by the applicable Partner.
Pricing and Savings Levels
Pricing for Products may differ depending on the means by which you purchase them.
We may make available special Solutions for Small Business price Savings Levels. We will determine your Savings Level based on your Annual Volume of eligible items. Click here to see the Annual Volumes corresponding to each Savings Level.
We’ll review your eligible volumes quarterly. If as a result of a quarterly review we determine that you are on track to exceed your Annual Volume, we may apply a higher Savings Level (resulting in more of a discount) to your account. If we determine that you are not on track to achieve your Annual Volume, we may apply a lower Savings Level to your account (resulting in less of a discount). However, we won’t lower your Savings Level more than once every twelve months, and not within the first twelve months of the date on which we provided you with your Solutions for Small Business customer number.
If we apply a higher or lower Savings Level to your account, the new Savings Level will take effect on the date we specify and will apply to all of your eligible Neighbourhood Mail deposits from that date forward unless we notify you otherwise. We may provide notice of any changes by posting to the Site. It is your responsibility to log into your Account and check your Savings Level before you deposit any items.
Availability of a Savings Level is conditional on you complying will these Solutions for Small Business Terms and Conditions.
Canada Post may at any time without notice:
(1) Modify, suspend or terminate the Solutions for Small Business program;
(2) Suspend or terminate your Solutions for Small Business account;
(3) Change prices; and/or
(4) Modify, suspend or cease to offer Savings Levels.
We provide a customer number to each Solutions for Small Business participant. Only deposits you make under your customer number will count toward our determination of whether you are on track to achieve your Annual Volume. You are solely responsible to ensure that your customer number has been used for each deposit. We will not apply your customer number retroactively to any deposit.
We issue a membership card to each Solutions for Small Business participant. The membership card will remain the property of Canada Post, and you must promptly return it to us upon our request.
Ownership of postal codes
Permitted use of Find a Postal Code
You must not sell or otherwise commercially exploit the information you obtain from the Find a Postal Code Service, or use that information for any purpose other than your own personal or limited internal business use. Canada Post may without notice limit the number of searches you make using the Find a Postal Code Service, on a daily or other basis.
No representations or warranties
GLOSSARY OF TERMS
Means your online Canada Post account corresponding to your Authentication Information, used to receive and manage communications from Canada Post, access Products and Features made available through the Site, and other purposes as Canada Post may specify from time to time. If you do not have an Account, you may register for one here.
Means any purchase of a Product, participation in a program or contest, use of a Product or Feature or any other activity conducted on or through the Site.
"Additional Terms and Conditions"
Means an affiliate as defined in the Canada Business Corporations Act.
Means the annual volume of items in a specified Product category, deposited for delivery by Canada Post by a Solution for Small Business participant, using the customer number assigned by Canada Post to the Solution for Small Business participant.
Means a User's Password, Username, Security Question, Security Answer and other information that Canada Post may require from time to time in order to verify a User's identity.
Means an entity that is:
(1) a Canadian bank listed in Schedule I of the Bank Act (Canada); or
(2) a credit union regulated by a Canadian province;
and which is party to an agreement with Canada Post allowing Users who are customers of the entity to access their epost accounts through the entity’s online banking website.
"Bill Payment Method"
Means a payment method supported by the epost Service allowing payments through the epost Service of a bill sent to a User as a Mailpiece.
Means Canada Post Corporation.
"Canada Post Documents"
Means non-confidential materials that Canada Post has prepared and provided for general access, viewing and/or downloading on the Site, including Customer Guides, forms, articles, blogs and similar materials.
"Canada Post Parties"
(1) Canada Post;
(2) any Affiliate of Canada Post
(3) any contractor, agent and/or representative of Canada Post and/or any of its Affiliates;
(4) any director, officer and/or employee of any of the parties listed in (1), (2) or (3) above; or
(5) any combination of the foregoing.
"Canada Post Software"
Means any software we make available on the Site for downloading. Canada Post Software does not include Third Party software even if it is accessed through a link on the Site.
Means a validly executed written contract in the form stipulated or approved by Canada Post, in effect between a business and Canada Post relating to (1) the provision of Products by Canada Post and/or (2) other commercial matters.
Means all Canada Post Documents, website text, names, Marks, graphics, logos, icons, designs, words, titles, user interfaces, visual interfaces, artwork, Canada Post Software, computer code or phrases on the Site, or any part or parts of them, including any translations into other languages.
Means a document of that name relating to a specific Product or Products, as prepared and amended by Canada Post from time to time, setting out features, terms and conditions and/or other aspects applicable to the Product(s) and made available by Canada Post to its commercial customers.
"Digital Postal Address"
Means an electronic Canada Post delivery point, linked to one or more physical postal addresses.
Means a digital time/date stamp we apply to a Mailpiece (excluding attachments, if any) when sent through the Service.
Means Canada Post's epostTM Connect service.
Means Canada Post's epostTM service as represented by the functionality provided by Canada Post at any point in time, and as may be modified from time to time by Canada Post, including epost Connect and the epost website.
"epost Terms and Conditions"
Means the epost Service Terms and Conditions governing the use of the epost Service, found here.
Means the world wide website at www.epost.ca and/or www.postel.ca (or any successor websites that Canada Post may designate from time to time), including the web pages it contains, but not including Third Party websites to which it may be linked.
Means any feature, application, Canada Post Software or other functionality made available by Canada Post on the Site.
Means any suggestions, comments, questions or ideas you provide to us in any form or medium, regarding:
(1) the Site,
(2) any actual or potential Products and/or
(3) any other aspect of Canada Post's existing or potential operations.
Means a Mailpiece which is delivered to a Digital Postal Address, which contains general information that may be viewed by all Users with an epost account linked to that Digital Postal Address.
Means the inbox we assign you when register for an Account on the Site, in which you may receive Mailpieces and other electronic communications delivered through the Site.
"includes" or "including"
Means "includes" or "including" without limiting the generality of any preceding or following text.
Means an agreement, in the form we stipulate, setting out the terms and conditions pertaining to your use of any Content we make available for downloading from the Site.
Means a website operated by a Third Party that is linked to the Site.
Means any organization registered as an epost Service Mailer and approved by Canada Post, which sends you Mailpieces using the epost Service.
Means any single document, invoice, statement, letter, payroll notice, electronic form, or other type of correspondence or document sent through the epost Service. A Mailpiece does not include any document accessed through a link contained within the Mailpiece to a Third Party website.
Means, when used to describe an action by Canada Post: "may, in our sole discretion, but with no obligation to do so".
Means any and all trade names, trademarks, official marks or any similar intellectual property belonging to Canada Post and/or its licensors, which may be registered in Canada or otherwise.
Means the secret access code you use to access your Account.
Means a product or service provided by Canada Post.
Means the contact information and other information we ask you to provide when you open an Account.
Means a physical facility operated by Canada Post or another party under contract with Canada Post, for the primary purpose of selling Products to the public and/or businesses.
Means the applicable discount level for a specified Product, assigned by Canada Post to a Solutions for Small Business program participant, as determined by Canada Post based on volume and/or other criteria established by Canada Post from time to time.
Means the secret answer provided by you that only you know that corresponds to your Security Question.
Means the secret question chosen by you, that only you know and that corresponds to your Security Answer.
Means the Canada Post Corporation website located at www.canadapost.ca and all associated websites linked to www.canadapost.ca that are operated by Canada Post, its subsidiaries and/or Affiliates. The Site includes:
(1) your Account, and
(2) all Content, Features and Products you access while on the Site.
Means a party other than Canada Post or a Canada Post Affiliate
Means a user of the Site.
Means the name selected by a User to uniquely identity that User while logged on to the Site.
"we", "us", "our", "We", "Us" or "Our"
Means Canada Post.
"you", "your", "You" or "Your"
Refers to a User.
