At the beginning of this decade Canada Post began a journey to shift its focus from a traditional letter-based business to becoming Canada’s No. 1 parcel company. As Canada Post transforms to meet the changing postal needs of Canadians, we remain committed to social responsibility. This reflects our concern for the health and well-being of our employees, the environment and the communities we serve.
Our 2017 Social Responsibility Report captures our progress in managing key performance measures set out by the internationally recognized Global Reporting Initiative, which promotes sustainable development.
The Report highlights Canada Post’s accomplishments in protecting employee health and safety, reducing carbon emissions and bringing joy into the lives of Canadian children and youth.
This is our tenth report and the sixth year of publishing it as a complement to the Annual Report. It should be read in conjunction with the Annual Report for a thorough examination of the Corporation’s social, environmental and economic performance.
Please read the Social Responsibility Report for more details.
